Working From Home: Tips From the Cat
Have you been working from home for a few weeks now, and are starting to feel restless? We’ve consulted a bona fide work from home expert to help get you through it. When it comes to staying indoors and maintaining productivity, there’s no one more knowledgeable than your cat:
Tip 1: Maintain a meal schedule – no matter how busy your day gets, make sure you eat three well balanced meals a day, with lots of snacks and treats in between.
Tip 2: Find a cozy spot and make it your own – whether you fancy a warm sunny beam by the window or an ergonomic chair in the office, settle in where you feel your best.
Tip 3: If you feel you aren’t being heard, meow louder – missing all the face to face time with your colleagues, it can be harder to communicate. Schedule time for a call or video chat to make sure you stay connected.
Tip 4: Make time to play – you know what they say about all work and no play! Set a schedule and stick to it to ensure you take the time to step away from your computer and stretch, go for a walk or play with your pet.
Tip 5: Practice self care – just because you’re not leaving the house doesn’t mean you should stay in your PJ’s all day. Make time for grooming so you can look and feel your best.
BONUS TIP: Make sure you catch enough ZZZ’s – cats can sleep up to 16 hours a day, and for good reason. Getting enough sleep is important for your overall health, well-being and happiness, so keep those laptops out of your bedroom and make sure you switch off at the end of the day.
